About This Tool

Look, sorting text doesn’t need to be complicated. You’ve got a list—names, items, random notes—and it’s a mess. Maybe you copied it from somewhere, or just typed it all in a hurry. Either way, it’s out of order, and you need it clean. That’s where this thing comes in. No fluff, no login, no nonsense. Just paste your text, hit a button, and boom—sorted.

I built this because I kept needing it. At work, at home, even when helping a friend organize their grocery list. Every time, I’d open a spreadsheet or write a quick script. Got old fast. So I made a simple tool that does one thing: sorts your text the way you’d expect it to. Alphabetically, numerically, reverse order—whatever. It’s not fancy. But it works.

Key Features

  • Sort lines alphabetically—A to Z or Z to A. Case doesn’t mess it up.
  • Handles numbers too. Sorts 1, 2, 10 correctly (not 1, 10, 2 like some tools).
  • Removes duplicates automatically. No more seeing “apple” three times.
  • Works right in your browser. Nothing uploaded, nothing stored. Your data stays yours.
  • Supports custom separators. Comma, tab, space—whatever you used to split your text.
  • Quick undo. Accidentally sorted wrong? One click and it’s back.
  • Mobile-friendly. Use it on your phone while waiting in line. Because why not?

FAQ

Does this save my text anywhere?
Nope. Everything happens on your device. Once you close the page, it’s gone. No servers, no tracking, no “analytics.” I don’t want your data, and I definitely don’t need it.

What if my list has blank lines or weird formatting?
It’ll clean those up. Blank lines get removed, extra spaces trimmed. You get a tidy list back. If you need to keep the blanks for some reason, just add a placeholder like “—” and sort that instead.
